Menlo College’s Jacky Vasquez Lopez has been named FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 7-13.

Vasquez Lopez tallied five points with a goal and three assists in leading the Oaks to wins over Jessup (4-0) and San Francisco State (3-0) last week. She became Menlo’s first CCAA Athlete of the Week in any sport.

The junior midfielder from Seaside, Calif., assisted on the eventual game-winner in the blow out win at Jessup in Rocklin, Calif. Leilani Phillips’ goal came just 95 seconds into the match. Vasquez Lopez then chipped in a goal in the 17th minute as the Oaks dominated. In Friday’s non-conference match versus San Francisco State, she helped on two of the three goals as the Oaks extended their win streak to three.

Vasquez Lopez now leads the CCAA with five assists. Her seven points is tied for third most in the conference. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders

This is Vasquez Lopez’s first career CCAA Athlete of the Week award. The first for Menlo College in any sport. Click here for the history of CCAA Player of the Week awards. 

Menlo (3-1-1) begins its CCAA schedule on the road on Friday with a match at Cal Poly Humboldt, the defending conference tournament champions. The Oaks will also play at Chico State on Sunday.
