ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Three CCAA men’s soccer programs earned national recognition in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II preseason poll. Stanislaus State will begin the 2026 season ranked No. 5 in the nation, while defending CCAA regular-season champion Cal State Dominguez Hills earned the No. 20 position. Cal State San Bernardino was also recognized among the teams receiving votes.
 
Stanislaus State’s No. 5 ranking follows one of the most successful seasons in program history. The Warriors completed the 2025 campaign with a 17-2-1 record, captured their first CCAA Tournament championship since 2012 and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Division II Championship for the deepest postseason run in program history. The Warriors also climbed to No. 1 in the national poll for two consecutive weeks and established a school record with a 14-match unbeaten streak. Their No. 5 position represents the first top-10 preseason ranking in program history and matches where Stan State finished in last season’s final national poll.
 
Cal State Dominguez Hills earned its place in the national top 20 after winning its second consecutive CCAA regular-season championship. The Toros went unbeaten during conference play with an 8-0-2 record and finished the season at 12-4-4 overall. CSUDH earned the No. 2 seed in NCAA Super Region 4 and hosted postseason competition at Toro Stadium.
 
Cal State San Bernardino returns to the national conversation after going 9-3-8 and earning an at-large berth in the 2025 NCAA Championship. The Coyotes advanced to the second round. It marked CSUSB’s first NCAA postseason appearance since 2019.
 
Defending national champion Midwestern State occupies the top position in the preseason poll. Rollins, Fort Hays State and Southern New Hampshire follow in the next three spots, with Stanislaus State completing the national top five. Click here to see the complete preseason poll.
 
All three CCAA programs will open their seasons on the road Thursday, Aug. 27. Stanislaus State will travel north to face Seattle Pacific at 7 p.m., while Cal State San Bernardino will meet Point Loma at 1 p.m. in a rematch of last season’s NCAA second-round contest. Cal State Dominguez Hills will begin its campaign against Vanguard at 4 p.m. in Costa Mesa. The Toros will make their home debut Sunday, Aug. 30, against St. Edward’s, CSUSB will host Biola on Saturday, Aug. 29, and Stan State will welcome Saint Martin’s to Warrior Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 3.
