Cal Poly Pomona’s Sarah Ybarra has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the opening week of the 2026 season. (Sept. 1)

Ybarra, the 2025 CCAA Player of the Year, averaged 4.00 kills per set with a .433 hitting percentage to help lead CPP to three wins (3-1) at the Yotes Classic Showcase. She added 1.85 digs per set, 10 aces and seven blocks to earn all-tournament honors. 

Ybarra registered 15 kills in back-to-back sweeps over Seattle Pacific and Westmont on the second day of the tournament. Against Westmont, the senior posted a .520 hitting percentage, and she added 11 digs for her first double-double of the season. Ybarra added 10 kills against Vanguard and 12 against Concordia to post double-figure kills in all four matches. 

The right-side hitter leads the CCAA with 5.08 points per set and ranks third in hitting percentage (.433). Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard. 

This is the third consecutive season in which Ybarra has been named CCAA Offensive Player of the Week for the opening weekend. It is her seventh career CCAA weekly honor. Click here to see a complete list of past award winners.
