Cal Poly Humboldt’s Elizabeth Jade Andrade has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 24-30. 

Andrade helped lead Cal Poly Humboldt to two wins at the Oredigger Classic in Golden, Colo., while being the only libero named to the all-tournament team. The Stockton, Calif., native averaged 4.82 digs per set, along with nine assists and five aces. 

Andrade registered back-to-back matches with over 20 digs. She opened the season with 21 digs against Colorado School of Mines, and followed it up with a 20-dig, 4-ace match against Colorado Christian. 

The sophomore now ranks second in the CCAA with those 4.82 digs per set. Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard. 

This was the first career CCAA weekly honor for Andrade. It is also the first for Cal Poly Humboldt since the 2024 season. Click here to see a complete list of past award winners.
