Cal State San Marcos’ Avery Foster claims her second FloCollege/CCAA Golfer of the Week award of 2025-26

Avery Foster from Cal State San Marcos has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Foster tied for the top spot on the leaderboard at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout with an 8-under par 136. At the end of 36 holes on the Corica Park Golf Course, Foster would go to a playoff hole with Seattle Pacific Zoe Garcia to determine the individual champion. Foster won on the second playoff hole to secure the title. 

The Clovis, Calif., native opened the tournament with a 69 (-3) and closed out on Tuesday with a 67 (-5). Foster tied for the tournament lead on par-4 scoring (-4), and she registered 10 birdies.

Foster’s efforts helped the Cal State San Marcos win the tournament by 10 strokes as it posted a 13-under as a team (563). Ellaclair Leedom (3rd, -6) and Kiara Hernandez (10th, E) also finished in the top 10. Click here to see the complete results from the tournament

This is the fifth career CCAA Golfer of the Week award for Foster, and her second with CSUSM. She has now won a Golfer of the Week award in three consecutive seasons. 

Cal State San Marcos will be back on the course on March 9-10 when it hosts the CSUSM Fukikura Invitational.
