Juliana Dow of Cal State Monterey Bay has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4.

Dow powered the Otters to a perfect 2-0 week in CCAA play, scoring three goals across two matches as Cal State Monterey Bay extended its winning streak to two games.

Dow opened the week with a goal in CSUMB’s 3-0 victory over San Francisco State on Thursday, scoring her team-leading fourth goal of the season to put the finishing touches on the Otters’ home win. 

She followed with a two-goal performance against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday, accounting for both goals in CSUMB’s 2-0 victory. Dow broke the scoreless tie in the 34th minute before adding her second goal in the 78th minute to secure the win.

The San Diego native finished the week with three goals, six points and six shots on goal, helping the Otters outscore their opponents 5-0. Dow now leads Cal State Monterey Bay with six goals on the season.

Dow leads the CCAA with 39 shots and is tied for first with 14 points. Her six goals rank second in the conference, while her 18 shots on goal are also second.  Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders.

The two victories improved Cal State Monterey Bay to 5-2-3 overall and 3-2-1 in CCAA play. The Otters are tied for 7th in the conference standings with 10 points. CSUMB will continue conference play this week with a road match at UC Merced on Friday before returning home to host Chico State on Sunday.
