Jocelin Roa of UC Merced has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 5-11.

Roa scored twice in two CCAA matches, helping the Bobcats earn four points with a draw against Cal State Monterey Bay and a victory over Stanislaus State. The senior forward from Manteca, Calif., recorded four points on six shots, putting four attempts on target.

Roa opened the weekend by scoring UC Merced’s first goal in a 1-1 draw against Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, Oct. 9. Her goal snapped the Otters’ four-match shutout streak and helped the Bobcats earn a point in conference play.

She followed with the game-winning goal in the 27th minute of Sunday’s 1-0 road victory over Stanislaus State. The goal was particularly meaningful for Roa, who transferred to UC Merced from Stanislaus State before the 2026 season. She finished with three shots in each match.

Roa leads the CCAA with nine goals and 18 points. She also ranks third in the conference with 37 shots and 19 shots on goal, while her four game-winning goals lead the league. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders.

The award is the first of Roa’s career as she joins teammates Alexia Alva and Andrea Alvarenga Torres who earned the honor earlier this season.  Click here to see the complete list of past award winners.

The two-match weekend improved UC Merced to 6-1-5 overall and 3-1-4 in CCAA play. The Bobcats are eighth in the conference standings with 13 points and have lost just once in their last seven matches.

UC Merced continues conference play this week with a road match at Cal Poly Humboldt on Thursday, Oct. 15, before traveling to Chico State on Saturday, Oct. 17.
