Jalen Brown earns the Toros’ second FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award in 2025-26

The CCAA has selected Cal State Dominguez Hills’ Jalen Brown as the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 28-Jan. 3. 

Brown averaged a CCAA-best 23.0 points on the week and led the Toros to a road win at Chico State. The junior guard went 18-of-34 from the field, 5-of-12 from behind the arc, and 5-of-7 at the free throw line to collect his first CCAA Player of the Week award. Brown also averaged 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game as CSUDH improved to 4-2 in CCAA play.

The transfer from Regis (CO) opened the week by scoring 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while posting five rebounds and three steals in a 97-91 overtime loss at Cal Poly Humboldt. Brown added another 24 points in a 97-92 overtime win at Chico State. His 10 made field goals were one short of a season-best.

Brown leads the CCAA in scoring in conference play with 21.0 points per game on .568 percent shooting. His 76 made field goals on the season lead the conference. Click here to see the list of CCAA Stat Leaders
