Cal State LA’s Sofia Fidelus has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 19-25.

Fidelus led the Golden Eagles in scoring in both games as Cal State LA earned back-to-back wins over Cal State Dominguez Hills and extended its winning streak to six. The junior guard averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game for the week. She also had three steals and a block. 

The Pittsburg, Calif., native, started the week with 19 points, six rebounds and eight assists in an 87-83 win in Los Angeles on Thursday. She backed that up on Saturday with 22 points and four assists in a 78-65 victory.

Fidelus continues to lead the CCAA and ranks seventh in NCAA Division II with 5.4 assists per game. She is also second in minutes per game (36.3) and fifth in scoring (14.9 ppg). Click here to see the list of CCAA Stat Leaders.
