Cal Poly Pomona’s Emiliano Garcia has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. (Sept. 30)

As a true freshman, Garcia played all 180 minutes this week, including scoring the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over No. 7 Cal State San Bernardino. He helped CPP pick up two more wins to enter conference play with a record of 5-1-2. 

His efforts have helped Cal Poly Pomona post a plus-9 goal differential in the first eight matches. They rank second in the CCAA and 17th in the country in that category. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders.

Cal Poly Pomona will open conference play at Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, Oct. 3, in its only contest of the week. The match will be available on FloCollege.
