SF State’s Tamiya Wilson earns this week’s FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honor after a pair of smashing matches.
Wilson spiked 17 kills in each of the two contests as the Gators beat Cal State San Marcos at home on Friday before dropping to Cal State East Bay in four sets on the road. For the week, she averaged 4.86 kills and 5.43 points per set.
In the win over CSUSM, Wilson hit an impressive .552 on the attack, putting away 17 kills on 29 attempts with just one error. She also added two aces, five digs and two block-assists. The senior right-side hitter from Temecula, Calif., followed it up with a 17-6-35 attacking night in Hayward. Wilson chipped in seven digs and two more assisted blocks against the Pioneers.
Wilson is now sixth in the CCAA with 3.62 points per set. Her 3.03 kills per set average is ninth best in the conference. Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard.

SF State (2-7, 1-1 CCAA) travels to Southern California this week with a pair of matches at Cal State Dominguez Hills (Friday) and Cal Poly Pomona (Saturday).
