Cal Poly Pomona’s Ally Henry has been picked as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 15-21.
Henry scored a brace in the Broncos’ 3-1 win over Fort Lewis on Thursday — and with the team’s 3-0 win over MSU Denver on Sunday, the defending national champs open the 2025 campaign undefeated at 6-0.
Henry, a senior midfielder from Greenwood Village, Colo., helped the No. 1 ranked Broncos beat two teams from her home state by scoring the first two goals of the week. She scored in the 15th minute and added a second in the 58th minute against Fort Lewis to a 2-0 CPP lead. In all, Henry played 145 minutes in two matches while controlling the mid-field as Pomona only allowed one goal against the formidable opponents from the RMAC.
