This week’s FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award went to Lilly Bandle for Cal State Monterey Bay. 

The middle blocker was dominant over three matches for the Otters, recording 1.82 blocks per set. She added 1.82 kills per set and 2.95 points per set.

The Jackson, Wisc., native opened the week with six blocks (one solo) against Vanguard, before posting nine (two solo) against Biola. The nine blocks are the second-most for the conference in a four-set match this season. 

Her nine blocks were the second-most in a four-set match in Otter history and the third most in any match in CSUMB history. Bandle is now tied for third in the CCAA in blocks with 1.19 per set. Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard. 

This is the first career CCAA Defensive Player of the Week award for Bandle and the first for CSUMB volleyball since 2023. Click here to see a complete list of past award winners. 

Cal State Monterey Bay will open its season on the road at Cal State East Bay on Thursday, Sept. 18, before hosting UC Merced on Saturday, Sept. 20.
