Cal State San Marcos’ Regan Barton and Diana Delgado will share the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week award after tying for first place at the Fujikara Invitational. 

The two seniors tied for first with 218’s (+2) over 54 holes at the Shadowridge Country Club in Vista, Calif., and were crowned individual medalists. 

Delgado shot a 71 (-1) in the first round and a 73 (+1) in the second to stand in a three-way tie after the first day of competition. She finished with a 74 (+2) on Tuesday. 

Barton, the 2024 CCAA Individual Champion, climbed five places up the leaderboard in the last 18 holes to earn the tie for first with a 2-under 70. She had shot 74’s (+2) in the opening two rounds. The tie sent the duo out for two playoff holes, where Barton won with a back-to-back pars.

This is Barton's first career CCAA Golfer of the Week award and Delgado's third. However, Delgado won twice during her freshman season (2021-22) and had not won again till this week. Click here to see a complete list of past weekly award winners. 

Cal State San Marcos will go to the Patriot Invitational hosted by NCAA Div. II powerhouse DBU beginning on Monday, Mar. 17.
