Toros’ Nala Williams wins her fourth FloCollege/CCAA Player of the Week award of 2024-25 Feb 4, 2025 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Cal State Dominguez Hills’ Nala Williams has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2. Williams helped lead the Toros to two more wins, and Cal State Dominguez Hills remains the only undefeated NCAA Division II team (22-0). The Long Beach native averaged 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 5.0 steals per game. She shot .543 percent from the field (19-of-35) and .357 percent from 3-point range (5-of-14). Williams also had 10 steals and is now second in the nation with 4.45 steals per game. The junior guard opened the week with an 11-for-14 performance against fourth-place Sonoma State. She scored 25 points to go along with five rebounds and six steals. Williams followed that up with a 21-point, four-rebound, four-steal game in a 65-44 win over Cal State San Marcos. Williams is leading the conference in scoring at 17.3 points per game. She has scored 20 or more points nine times, including four times in the last six games. This is Williams’ fourth CCAA Player of the Week award of 2024-25 and the seventh of her career. The four Player of the Week awards match Farrah Shokoor (UCSD, 2015-16) and Dawnyel Lair (CSUDH, 2022-23) for the most in a single season in the past decade.
