For the second time this season, Cal State Monterey Bay’s Michael Mora has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The sophomore guard/forward averaged 21.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in leading the Otters to their best eight-game start in program history (7-1). 

In a home-road showdown against Cal State San Marcos, Mora opened the week by scoring 24 points, grabbing four rebounds, and dishing out four assists. He went 7-of-12 from the field and 8-of-9 at the free throw line. 

The Cougars returned the trip to Monterey Bay on Saturday, and the Otters handed them an 82-75 loss. Mora recorded his first career double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Mora is now leading the CCAA with 18.9 points per game and is tied for fourth with 7.3 rebounds per game. He is also leading the CCAA in 3-pointers made per game (2.63). Click here to see the list of CCAA Stat Leaders.
