Meadow Aragon from Chico State has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 1-7.

The senior forward recorded two double-doubles and helped the Wildcats begin 2-0 in conference play. Aragon averaged 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists per game, and went 14-for-16 from the free throw line in the two home wins. 

She opened the week scoring 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting against UC Merced. Aragon also pulled down 15 rebounds, had two blocks, and two steals. On Saturday against Stanislaus State, Aragon scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while going 9-of-10 from the line. 

The Nevada City, Calif., native now ranks fourth in NCAA Division II with five double-doubles. She leads the CCAA in rebounds per game (11.1) and ranks fourth in field goal percentage (.437). Click here to see the list of CCAA Stat Leaders.

Chico State will host a non-conference match against Saint Martin’s on Friday, Dec. 12, before traveling to face UC Davis in an exhibition game on Sunday, Dec. 14.
