Cal State East Bay’s Mika Sayfurahman has been picked as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
Sayfurahman amassed four goals last week, including a hat trick, to help the Pioneers go 1-0-1 with a 5-0 win at San Francisco State on Friday and tied CCAA leader Chico State 1-1 on Sunday.
The senior midfielder from Livermore knocked in a hat trick against the Gators including the game-winner in the blow-out win. Two of her goals were unassisted goals. Sayfurahman is just the second CCAA player to record a hat trick this season (Bella Cervantes, CSUSB). With her team trailing 1-0 against Chico State, Sayfurahman scored the equalizer in the 67th minute to help the Pioneers earn the draw.
Sayfurahman is tied for second in the CCAA with 15 points and is tied for third with six goals. She ranks sixth in shots (2.40 per match) and third in shots on goal (1.67 per match). Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders
