Malia Tanksley of Stanislaus State has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the final week of the 2025 season. 

Tanksley was a presence at the net all weekend as she totalled 11 blocks and helped Stanislaus State go 2-0 against some of the top teams in the conference to secure the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CCAA Volleyball Tournament presented by Under Armour. The sophomore right-side hitter averaged 1.1 blocks while posting 2.65 points per set. 

She opened the weekend by posting five blocks and nine kills at Cal State LA as the Warriors overcame a two-set deficit and reverse-swept the Golden Eagles to earn the win. Tanksley then helped spoil Cal Poly Pomona’s bid for a perfect CCAA season when she posted six blocks and 12 kills in another reverse-sweep victory.
