Cal State LA’s Seriah Demski has been awarded the FloCollege/CCAA Setter of the Week honors.

The freshman from Eastvale, Calif., paced the conference on the weekend with 13.67 assists per set. The Golden Eagles earned two wins with Demski as the distributor, improving to 17-6 on the season and 13-3 in the CCAA. 

On Friday, Demski set a season-high with 39 assists in a three-set win over Cal Poly Humboldt. She surpassed that with a new season-high of 43 assists in a three-set win at Dominguez Hills on Saturday. Her efforts helped the Golden Eagles hit .343 versus Humboldt and .325 against CSUDH. She just missed recording double-doubles as she posted matches with eight and nine digs, respectively. 

Cal State LA now stands second in the CCAA in kills per set (12.95) and third in hitting percentage (.234). Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard.

Cal State LA is tied with Cal State San Bernardino for second place and the No. 2 seed in the CCAA Tournament. The Golden Eagles will open the week against Stanislaus State on Friday, before facing Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday. Both matches will be available on FloCollege.
