Cal State LA’s Erick Alamo was honored with the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award after an explosive weekend in which he tallied three goals across two matches.

On Friday, Oct. 10, Alamo helped the Golden Eagles to a 3-1 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay. After subbing in, he netted a goal in the 39th minute, which was only his 12th minute on the pitch, giving LA a 2-1 advantage just two minutes after the equalizer.

Alamo continued his offensive strength going into Sunday’s match in a 3-0 shutout victory against Chico State. In just 50 minutes of play, he recorded a match-high of four shots, including two on goal, and found the back of the net twice for his second multi-goal match of the season.

Cal State LA will return to action next week, traveling to face Cal State East Bay on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. in Hayward, CA, before hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Los Angeles University Stadium. Both matches are available to view on FloCollege.
