UC Merced’s Trinidad Quiroz has been voted the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 6-12.

Quiroz scored twice and assisted on another goal in the Bobcats’ first conference road trip to Southern California. UC Merced came away with a narrow 2-1 loss versus CSUDH at Dignity Health Sports Park and an impressive 2-0 win at Cal State San Bernardino.

The senior forward from San Jose assisted on Elisa Garcia’s goal on the pitch of the LA Galaxy on Friday. The goal gave UCM a 1-0 lead over the Toros before CSUDH rallied with two goals in the second half. Quiroz then posted a brace, a penalty kick goal in the 53rd minute and a score in the 70th minute in a victory at CSUSB.

It was Quiroz’s 11th multi-goal of her UCM career. She was the 2023 CalPac Player of the Year after scoring conference and program record 23 goals.

Quiroz, who now has 47 goals as a Bobcat, is second in the CCAA with six goals and 13 points behind only Vanessa Cruz of Cal Poly Pomona. She leads the conference with four game-winning goals and also tops in shots per game (4.27) and shots on goal per game (2.36). Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders
