Cal State East Bay’s Morgan Pearson has been picked as the CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 16-22.

Pearson scored a goal in each of the Pioneers’ two victories last week in leading the team over UC Merced and Menlo at home in Pioneer Stadium. She also had an assist to tally five points.

With the team trailing 1-0 against Merced on Thursday, Pearson knocked in the equalizer in the 23rd minute to help the team rally back for a 3-1 win against UCM. On Saturday, the junior forward from San Ramon assisted on the first goal and scored the second on a penalty kick in the 3-0 win over Menlo.

Pearson adds to the offensive unit which is second in the conference in scoring with 11 goals (Cal Poly Pomona, 18). Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders

Cal State East Bay will play host to Cal State San Marcos in a non-conference match on Saturday.
