Cal State LA’s Tommaso Belli named CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in career

Tommaso Belli of Cal State LA was selected as CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a goal with two assists last week.

Belli led the No. 3 ranked Golden Eagles to a pair of victories, helping the team stretch its unbeaten streak to 19 games dating back to the 2023 season. 

The senior forward from Rome, Italy, assisted on two late goals to seal the 4-1 win over Colorado School of Mines on Friday. Then Belli scored the lone goal in a 1-0 shutout over MSU Denver on Sunday.

Cal State LA now has four shutouts in five games and is now 4-0-1. The Golden Eagles have outscored opponents 8-1 in five matches. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders

This is Belli’s second career CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award. He picked up this honor last Nov. 4 with a brace in the regular season finale against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

The Golden Eagles host Cal State Dominguez Hills in a non-conference match on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. before the CCAA schedule begins next week.
