Cal State East Bay’s Jasmin Krishna claims the CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week award

Jasmin Krishna from Cal State East Bay has been named the CCAA Women’s Golfer of the Week for Sept. 11-17. 

Krishna shot a 147 (+3) in the RJGA Shootout at Estrella to help lead Cal State East Bay to a tie for second place in its first event of the year. The senior from Pleasanton shot a 77 (+5) in the first round but took off seven strokes in the second round to move 19 spots up the leaderboard and tie for third place. 

Her efforts also helped Cal State East Bay make a second-round run and finish just one stroke off the day’s best score with a 302 (+14). The Pioneers tied for second with Lubbock Christian at  612 (+36). 

Krishna tied for first in the two-day tournament with a 1-under scoring average on par 3s. She was also tied for eighth with five birdies and sixth with 24 pars.
 
This is Krishna's fourth career CCAA Golfer of the Week Award. She won twice as a freshman (2021-22) and once as a junior (2023-24). 

Cal State East Bay will continue its fall schedule at the WT Regional Preview, hosted by West Texas A&M, on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Amarillo, Texas.
