Bella Hara of Cal Poly Pomona earns first Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of Week award of 2024

Bella Hara of Cal Poly Pomona has been named the CCAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week with two shutouts during opening week.

Behind a solid defensive unit, Hara and the Broncos blanked Vanguard, 1-0, and Biola, 2-0, to start the last week. The senior goalkeeper from San Diego played in all 180 minutes to record the two shutouts and picked up four saves.

After one week, Hara has the most saves amongst CCAA goalkeepers that have not allowed a goal.

Cal Poly Pomona will host defending national champion and No. 1 ranked Point Loma on Thursday in Pomona.
