AUGUSTA, GA -- Destiny Jackson of Cal State San Bernardino has been named the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The senior guard from Hayward, Calif., averaged 26.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a pair of wins for the Coyotes.
Jackson began her week with 22 points on 10-for-12 shooting in a 12-point win over Stanislaus State. She followed that up with 31 points, nine rebounds and eight steals in a win over Cal State Monterey Bay. For the week, she shot .583 (14-24) from the field, hit 22 of 27 free throws (.815) and averaged 5.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game.
Jackson is fourth in the CCAA for scoring (16.3), 22nd in rebounding (5.4), fifth in field goal percentage (.473), and 16th in assists (2.4). She also ranks 17th in free throw percentage (.648) and fourth in steals (2.5).
