Saving her best game for the last, Chico State’s Avery Pieri scored twice to earn the final FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award of 2024.

Pieri recorded a brace with a pair of goals to lead the Wildcats in a come-from-behind 4-2 victory at Stanislaus State. The result spoiled the Warriors’ chance of a first round bye in the CCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament while ending Chico State’s season on the win column.

The senior forward sparked the comeback in the regular season finale on Thursday, scoring an incredible goal from long distance to cut the Wildcats’ deficit in half. Pieri then added a penalty kick goal early in the second half that started an offensive push from Chico State in the rally. In all, Pieri took four shots with three on frame and put two in the net.

Pieri tied for second in the CCAA with eight goals this season. She led the conference with 1.50 shots on goal per match average, 27 shots on frame. Her 17 points total is fourth best. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders

Chico State concluded the 2024 season with  6-6-6 overall, 3-5-3 CCAA records.
