Cal State LA’s Jassmin Ortiz was voted as this week’s FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

Ortiz scored a pair of game-winning-goals to lead the Golden Eagles to two road wins to clinch a berth into the CCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament. Cal State LA blanked San Francisco State, 2-0, on Friday and defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, 2-1, on Sunday.

The senior midfielder scored in the 21st minute of the win at SF State on Friday and netted the go-ahead score in the 69th minute to lift the Golden Eagles over CSUMB on Sunday.

This is Ortiz’s second career CCAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Week award. She earned this honor on Oct. 3, 2023.

Cal State LA moved to second place in the CCAA with a 6-3-1 conference mark. The Golden Eagles are at Cal State Dominguez Hills in the regular season finale on Thursday, in hopes of grabbing the No. 2 seed and a bye for the conference tournament.
