Stanislaus State’s Talia Maxwell named FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Nov 26, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Stanislaus State’s Talia Maxwell was voted the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 18-24. Maxwell led the Warriors to their first victory of the year with a 62-58 road win over Central Valley rival Fresno Pacific. She returned home to score a career-high 26 points on six-for-15 shooting from the field, including making her only three-point attempt. Maxwell added a season-high 11 rebounds for her third career double-double and second of the season. She went 13-of-14 from the free throw line to go with her two blocked shots and one assist. The sophomore guard is leading the CCAA in free throw percentage (.963) and points per game (17.8). She is also fifth in rebounds (7.8). Stanislaus State will play a non-conference game against Jessup on Tuesday, Nov. 26 before starting CCAA play on Saturday, Nov. 30 at home against Cal State Monterey Bay. That matchup will feature the last two FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Players of Week in Maxwell and the Otters’ Ella Doherty.
