Ella Doherty of Cal State Monterey Bay was voted as the FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the week of Nov. 11-17.

Doherty averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in leading the Otters to their first win of the season in a 63-54 win at Fresno Pacific on Saturday. CSUMB lost by four, 70-66, the night before at Dominican.

After scoring 17 points with seven rebounds on Friday, Doherty notched a double-double with 20 points (9 for 14) and 10 boards in Saturday’s win. The senior guard from Powmill, Scotland shot 53 percent going 16 of 30 with five assists in two games.
