HAYWARD, Calif. – No. 1 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills made Jose Peredia's 7th-minute goal hold up and the defense recorded a shutout in the semifinals of the 2024 CCAA Men's Soccer Tournament presented by FloCollege.

The game-winning goal was set up by a superb through ball from the Toros' Ramiro Rosas. After winning a loose ball that Cal State LA was trying to clear near the sideline, Rosas dribbled it to the middle of the field, 35 yards from goal. With two runners moving across the box, Rosas's pass split a pair of defenders and found Peredia open with only the keeper to beat. Peredia took a touch to his left before going near post for the score. It was his fourth goal of the season.

The Toros would have to work very hard the rest of the way to hold that advantage. Cal State LA outshout CSUDH 17-12, including 12-6 in the second half. However, the Golden Eagles only had one shot on goal, which Arturo Magana stopped in the 89th minute.

This was the second meeting between the teams in the last eight days. Both matches went to the Toros.

Cal State Dominguez Hills will advance to the championship match of the 2024 CCAA Men's Soccer Championship presented by FloCollege, where it will play No. 2 seed Cal Poly Pomona at 1 p.m.
