Chico State’s Travis Miller wins second consecutive CCAA Golfer of the Week award Oct 9, 2024 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> Chico State’s Travis Miller has been named the CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week. Miller shot a 203 (-13) to win the Wildcat Classic at The Links at Rolling Hills Casino and Resort in Corning, Calif. The senior led the tournament in par-3 (-2) and par-5 (-11) scoring while registering a tournament-best 19 birdies. He seized the lead in the first round with a tournament-low 66 (-6). He went 2-under (70) in the second round and fell one stroke off the pace after day 1. However, Miller came through with a 67 (-5) in the final round on Tuesday to jump into first place and win the tournament by three strokes. The team placed second with a 21-under 843. Miller is the first Chico State student-athlete to win consecutive CCAA Golfer of the Week honors since Josh McCollum in 2018-19. Click here to see a complete list of weekly winners.
