SF State’s Asia Arbaugh wins second consecutive CCAA Defensive Player of the Week award

San Francisco State’s Asia Arbaugh becomes the first student-athlete to win back-to-back CCAA Defensive Player of the Week awards in over a year. 

Arbaugh averaged 5.43 digs and had four service aces to help SF State win two road matches and improve to 11-3 on the season (5-1 CCAA).

Arbaugh opened the week with a 17-dig effort in a sweep over Stanislaus State. She also added three assists and an ace. Arbaugh posted 21 digs and three aces the next day in a win at Chico State. 

The sophomore libero now paces the conference with 30 aces. She is also fifth with 3.66 digs per set. Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard. 

Arbaugh is the first student-athlete to win consecutive CCAA Defensive Player of the Week awards since the start of the 2023 season when Stanislaus State’s Gabby Rawson won the year’s first two weekly honors. Click here to see a complete list of past award winners
