Brian Castillo scored half of CSUSB’s goals as he has been selected as CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Castillo scored early for the Coyotes in a 1-1 draw at Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday before scoring a brace in Sunday’s 5-2 win versus San Francisco. With SF State rallying from behind and the score at 3-2, he converted on a penalty kick goal to give CSUSB a cushion. Castillo then scored the final goal in the 87th minute to put the match away.

The senior from North Hollywood leads the CCAA with seven goals on the season and tops with three during conference play. Castillo’s 14 total points is also best in the conference. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders

Cal State San Bernardino (3-1-4, 1-0-1 CCAA) hit the road this week with matches at Cal State San Marcos Friday and Cal State East Bay on Sunday.
