Colin Huang of Sonoma State named FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week after consistent week in paradise

Colin Huang of Sonoma State was the most consistent golfer from the CCAA at the two tournaments in Hawai’i as he has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week.

Huang shot -5 under scores at both the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate, Oct. 21-22, and the HPU Sharks Shootout on Oct. 25-26, to notch two top six finishes for the week. He tied for sixth with a 5-under 139 to finish five back of winner at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate at Village Course at Waikoloa to start the week. He then scored another 5-under 135 at Mauna Lani North in Waimea.

Sonoma State finished second at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate with a -13, 563, but was 17 strokes behind winner Colorado Christian. The Seawolves tied for sixth with a +5, 565 at the HPU Sharks Shootout.

Huang was also the top CCAA golfer during the two-tournament week in Hawai’i a year ago. He earned his previous CCAA Golfer of the Week honor a year ago after the Hawai’i trip.
