Sabrina Cabrera of Stanislaus State has captured this week’s FloCollege/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award, for the week of Oct. 14-20.
Cabrera was a part of all three goals in the Warriors’ 3-0 shutout over Cal Poly Humboldt Friday night in Turlock. She subbed in in the second half and less than a minute later assisted on the match’s first goal. The senior midfielder from South Dos Palos, Calif., recorded another assist in the 67th minute before putting the match away with a goal in the 77th minute. She played a total of 46 minutes to score those four points.
The 2022 Midfielder of the Year, who had seven goals and an assist that season, has been battling back from injury and now has three goals and two assists this season in eight matches. Her 1.00 points per match average is tied for fourth best in the CCAA. Cabrera averages 2.63 shots per match, which is second best in the conference.

This is Cabrera’s first career CCAA Player of the Week award.
Stanislaus State (5-5-2, 2-3-0 CCAA) is next scheduled to host Cal State San Bernardino Friday at Warrior Stadium. The Warriors may be making up Sunday’s postponed match against Sonoma State during the week.
