Ananjan Kaushik from Cal State East Bay has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week (Oct. 10-16).

Kaushik tied for second at the Otter Invitational and helped the Pioneers win the tournament by three strokes. The senior from Bangalore, India, was the model of consistency across a three-round, two-day tournament that faced many weather challenges.

He never posted a round over par en route to posting a 4-under 212. Kaushik opened the tournament with a 70 (-2) before registering a 72 (E) in round spanning two days. He then closed with a 70 to tie for second place.

In the 54-hole tournament, Kaushik finished with 12 birdies and 34 pars. He was also second in par-4 scoring at 3-under.

This is the first career CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week award for Kaushik and the first of the season for CSUEB. Click here to see a complete list of weekly winners.
