Chico State’s Della Molina has been picked as the CCAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, for the week of Oct. 7-13.

Molina finished second at the UAH Chargers Invitational in Huntsville, Alabama, with an impressive time of 20:41.40. She finished two seconds behind winner Corinne Lynch of Cederville and about four seconds ahead of twin sister Iresh Molina.

Chico State, ranked No. 12, narrowly finished behind No. 16 Pittsburg State, 62-67, for second place in the team standings. 

Molina has earned this award for the second time this season, but it’s the first time on her own. It is her third career CCAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award.

Chico State, and the rest of the conference teams, will compete next at the CCAA Cross Country Championships on Oct. 25 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
