CSUSB’s Ashley Robinson earns first career CCAA Offensive Player of the Week award

The voters have selected Cal State San Bernardino’s Ashley Robinson as the CCAA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 23-29.

Robinson averaged 5.29 kills on a .310 hitting percentage to help lead the Coyotes to a pair of home CCAA wins. The senior outside hitter also had 17 digs, five aces, and three blocks to average 6.29 points. 

In the week’s first match against Cal State East Bay, Robinson posted 15 kills (.361 hitting%) and nine digs in a sweep. She added 22 kills on Saturday in the win over Cal State Monterey Bay. The 22 kills were just one short of her season-high. 

Robinson now ranks ninth in NCAA Div. II with 4.50 kills per set. She is seventh nationally in points (5.08) and 16th in attacks per set (11.55). Click here to see the complete CCAA leaderboard.

Cal State San Bernardino will be on the road for two matches this week. CSUSB will open against Chico State (6-5, 3-1 CCAA) on Friday before closing against Stanislaus State (9-3, 2-2 CCAA) on Saturday. Both games can be viewed at CCAA on FloSports. Visit GoCCAA.org/FloSports for more information.
