Cal State San Bernardino’s Trinity Sheridan was named the CCAA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 28-Sept. 3.

Sheridan made a statement in her first weekend as a Yotes with 73 kills in four matches (4.29 kills/set). The freshman outside hitter helped CSUSB go 4-0 with wins over three top 20 programs, including No. 3 MSU Denver. She hit .434 percent for the week and did not go under .400 in any match.

The UNLV transfer began the weekend with 12 kills in a sweep over No. 15 Western Washington, with a .588 hitting percentage. After posting 18 kills against Central Washington, she had a season-best 22 kills and three service aces in a four-set win over No. 18 Regis. The Crystal Lake, Ill., native closed the weekend with 21 kills in the five-set upset of MSU Denver.

Sheridan was also active at the net with 14 blocks (two solo, 12 assisted). The Yotes’ four wins moved them up 10 spots in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II WVB Poll. CSUSB now sits at No. 9 and is receiving two first-place votes. Click here to see the AVCA top 25 poll
