San Francisco State’s Carissa Capinpin has been named Pixellot/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 18-24.

Capinpin scored two important goals to help secure a win against Fresno Pacific and a draw against Cal State Monterey Bay. With two shots taken on the weekend, she managed to put both in the back of the net. Capinpin, a junior midfielder from Concord, has contributed to half of the Gators’ goals so far this season and has played 470 minutes.

Against Fresno Pacific on Tuesday, Capinpin opened up the scoring in the 20th minute to start the Gator’s 3-1 win over the Sunbirds. On Saturday, she scored the only goal against Cal State Monterey Bay to help SF State earn the tie. The Gators took home their first win and draw this past week.

This is Capinpin’s first career CCAA Player of the Week award. She is SF State’s first winner since the 2021 season.

San Francisco State’s (1-5-1) next contest is a conference match against Cal State LA’s Golden Eagles, this Friday at 7 p.m.
