Chico State’s Preston Moll has been voted the Pixellot/CCAA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 18-24.

As the center-back defender, Moll scored the game-winning goal in the Wildcats’ 3-2 win over Stanislaus State on Saturday. After the Warriors tied the match in the 51st minute, Moll netted the winner in the 58th minute to help No. 5 Chico State remain undefeated. 

Moll, a junior from Cameron Park, played in all 90 minutes to lead the Wildcats defense. 

The Wildcats, now 7-0-0, had not allowed a goal in the first six matches of the season until the two goals allowed at Stan State.

Chico State begins conference play this week with home matches against Cal State East Bay (Friday) and Cal State San Marcos (Sunday).
