Triple-double leads Sonoma's Jen Trephan to CCAA Setter of the Week award

Jen Trephan, from Sonoma State, has been voted the CCAA Volleyball Setter of the Week for the week of Sept. 11-17. 

Trephan continued her stellar start to the 2023 season by helping the Seawolves to back-to-back conference wins over 10th-ranked San Bernardino and SF State. The three-time All-CCAA selection posted 20 kills, 42 assists, 15 digs, three blocks and six service aces over seven sets against two teams picked to be in the CCAA Tournament by the preseason coaches poll. 

Against CSUSB, led Sonoma State with five aces and 22 assists. She added six kills and four digs. In the matchup against San Francisco State, Trephan posted a triple-double while with a .480 hitting percentage. She had 14 kills (just two errors), 20 assists and 11 digs in the four-set win. 

Trephan is 10th in the CCAA with a .306 hitting percentage and sixth with 0.46 aces per set. The Thousand Oaks native is averaging 2.46 kills and 5.06 assists per set. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats

Sonoma State has a tough week of CCAA competition on its schedule as it heads on the road to face Chico State on Friday (Sept. 22) and Stanislaus State on Saturday (Sept. 23).
