Cal Poly Humboldt’s Grace Johnson has been named Pixellot/CCAA Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Sept. 11-17.

Johnson netted two goals this past week, one each against Fresno Pacific and Academy of Art.  In those two matches, she took four shots with three on frame. Johnson, a senior midfielder from Nordland, Wash., has two goals and an assist so far this season with 356 minutes played in six games. 

Against Fresno Pacific on Thursday, Johnson scored in the 13th minute to start the Lumberjack’s 3-0 win over the Sunbirds. She then scored the fourth and final goal against Academy of Art’s Urban Knights on Saturday. Humboldt outscored opponents 7-0 last week to remain unbeaten at 5-0-1. 

This would be Johnson’s first career CCAA Player of the Week award.

Cal Poly Humboldt's next match is a non-conference match against a fellow CCAA team, the Sonoma State Seawolves, this Saturday at 3 p.m.
