Bryan Ortega leads Cal State LA to two more wins to earn Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award

Cal State LA’s Bryan Ortega was efficient on offense as he led the Golden Eagles to a pair of wins as he’s voted as the Pixellot/CCAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Ortega scored two goals with an assist in a total of 98 minutes of play in LA’s victories over PacWest opponents Azusa Pacific and Point Loma. The senior forward from Los Angeles had a goal and an assist in the No. 2 ranked Golden Eagles’ 2-0 win over APU on Tuesday. Ortega converted on a penalty kick in the 3-1 win over Point Loma on Saturday.

With nine points, the All-CCAA first team forward is currently second in the CCAA in points. He leads the 5-0 Golden Eagles with three goals and three assists. See CCAA Stats Leaders

Cal State LA will clash with Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday in a non-conference match inside Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson.
