Cal State LA’s Julian Aadlandsvik posted two more shutouts to earn this week’s honor as the Pixellot/CCAA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Aadlandsvik and the No. 4 ranked Golden Eagles blanked Westmont, 1-0, and Biola, 3-0, to remain perfect this season. Cal State LA is now 3-0 and has yet allowed a goal.

Against Westmont, the sophomore goalkeeper from Oslo, Norway, picked up two saves including an incredible stop in the 8th minute when he drove and deflected a hard shot from inside the box. Saturday against Biola, Aadlandsvik earned a season-high five saves to total seven saves as he faced 26 shots (seven on goal).

Aadlandsvik is the first Cal State LA goalkeeper to win the Player of the Week award since Oct. 22, 2019 (Alexander Brems).

The Golden Eagles will see if they can continue to keep opponents from the back of the net this week when they host Azusa Pacific (Tuesday) and Point Loma (Saturday).
