Cal State San Bernardino’s John Kim has been named this week’s CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week after winning the Battle in the Desert.

Kim won medalist honors at the event held at PGA West Mountain Course in La Quinta after shooting a six-under 210 over three days. He scored a tournament-low 68 on Monday to open the tournament, shot a 69 Tuesday before finishing with a 73 in Wednesday’s final round.
The sophomore from Palm Desert tallied 14 birdies and 32 pars in the 54-hole tournament, hosted by Cal State San Bernardino.

Cal State East Bay won the team title with a 868 score, one stroke ahead of CSUSB.

The Yotes will competed at the Tim Tierney Shootout, March 13-14, in Alameda.
