SF State’s Jailen Daniel-Dalton collects first career Player of the Week award Dec 20, 2023 Share: Complete list of weekly winners >>> San Francisco State’s Jailen Daniel-Dalton has been voted the CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of games covering Dec. 14-19. Daniel-Dalton averaged 13.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game to help lead SF State to a 2-1 record at the Big Island Holiday Classic in Hilo, Hawaii. The junior forward shot 50 percent from the field (17-of-34) and from long range (6-of-12) while playing over 32 minutes in all three games. He was named to the All-Classic Team. In the opening game against Concordia-Nebraska, Daniel-Dalton posted his fourth double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. He added three steals and he shot 60 percent from behind the arc (3-of-5) to help the Gators edge the Bulldogs 74-73. In another close contest the following night against Alaska, Daniel-Dalton went 5-of-8 from the field to score 12 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists. He concluded the tournament with a 10-point, nine-rebound effort in a 72-65 loss to host Hawaii Hilo. Daniel-Dalton is fifth in the CCAA in scoring (13.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.8). His four double-doubles lead the conference and he is eighth in field goal percentage (47.0). Click here to see the CCAA stats leaderboard. It is the first career CCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Daniel-Dalton, and the first for SF State since Eche Okeke claimed the honor the final week of the 2022-23 regular season.
