Daisy Duke earns final Volleyball Player of the Week award of 2023

Daisy Duke closed out her storied career at Cal Poly Pomona by earning her eighth career CCAA weekly honor. 

The senior opposite side hitter was named the CCAA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 6-12 after registering 5.8 kills and 6.8 points per set. She had 46 total kills and added 20 digs, six aces and four blocks. 

In a four-set win against Cal State East Bay, Duke recorded a double-double with 25 kills and 11 digs. She had a .458 hitting percentage and a pair of assisted blocks. The 25 kills matched a career-high and it was her fourth double-double.

Duke completes the regular season seventh in the CCAA in hitting percentage (.322), fifth in kills (3.76) and second in points (4.51). Click here to see the CCAA leaders.

Cal Poly Pomona is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CCAA Volleyball Tournament at Cal State LA (Nov. 16-18). They will face Sonoma State in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
